Individual Counseling
Individual therapy focuses on well-being on an individual basis. Specific attention is given to the individual’s goals, beliefs, and personal empowerment. Various therapeutic techniques are used to help the individual process multiple life experiences.

Marriage Counseling
Marital therapy works to help couples understand the under-lying pain in the midst of relationship. Therapists work to provide intergenerational understanding through insight and experientially focused therapies aimed at increasing true satisfaction in marriage.
Family Counseling
Family therapy at AFI focuses upon the family as a system and the various roles, expectations, and issues associated with those roles. With relationships as the primary focus, therapists work to help families integrate themselves within a healthy functioning system.

Pre-Marital Counseling
Prior to the wedding day, therapists help couples establish a deeper understanding of communication, finances, sexuality, and healthy couple functioning. Pre-marital therapy aims to bring awareness to individuals in an attempt to create cohesion between the couple.
Grief Counseling
Grief as a result of loss, death, or dying can be one of the hardest journeys a person may experience. Therapies focus upon education, understanding, sharing memories and normalizing to help individuals, couples, and families process loss in a way that provides companionship in the midst of extreme pain.

Anger Management
Working to help process the reality of anger in one’s life, anger management therapy aims to integrate the underlying issues responsible for causing anger, frustration, and bitterness.
Those Who Struggle With Addictions
Therapists at AFI work to help with gambling, porn and substance addictions. Specializing in a range of therapeutic techniques, therapy for those who struggle with addictions directs individuals away from the addictive behavior and towards a more rounded, healthy lifestyle.

Children and Adolescents’ Counseling
Child and adolescent therapeutic services work with individuals and families from ages 6-17. Therapists work from a systems perspective to address issues from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder to processing divorce.
